The Pool Building Process

At Goodall, we have pool building down to a science. With over six decades in the business, our expert pool builders know how to usher projects from concept to completion so our customers can enjoy some of the most beautiful inground pools in Pennsylvania.

Phase 1:
Consult to Contract

The journey begins when you reach out to Goodall Pools & Spas expressing your interest in a custom pool project. Here, we collect essential information that will guide the project through the initial planning stages, quoting, and financing.

Phase 2:
Layout

Once you sign a contract and submit a deposit, the project transitions from the sales department to the production department. This is the point where key construction personnel will make the first visit to your property to begin the project layout.

Phase 3:
Construction
Fiberglass Pool

Fiberglass pools take less time to install than vinyl-liner pools (i.e., between 3 and 4 weeks). Once our crew excavates the space and lays a stone bottom in the pool’s footprint, we unload the pool from an extra-long flat bed truck using a crane. The pool is set into the dug hole, and, then, we secure it through plumbing and backfilling.

Construction
Vinyl Liner Pool

If you choose to install a vinyl-liner pool, construction takes place over 6 to 8 weeks. Initial processes involve excavation, laying the metal framework, and installing plumbing and lighting.

Beach Pool

Beach Pools by Biodesign are designed and constructed to resemble a natural body of water. Our team starts by excavating the pool area, and sculpting specific features like tanning ledges. We then place a thick rubber material in the hole, install the plumbing and any chosen lighting features, before applying the Biodesign composite material. A Beach Pool builds last, on average, 4 to 5 weeks.
